The Power of Routines
Routines for children are SO powerful (like, I’m obsessed 😝), but often times we don’t really think about why 🤷♀️ Well, here you have it my friends... the top reasons why! And bonus points because all of these 👆 are research-backed:
1️⃣ Routines lower stress and anxiety in children - knowing what to expect lowers the stress hormone cortisol and keeps children from feeling anxious about what’s next.
2️⃣ Routines promote healthy development - both brain 🧠 and body 🤸♀️!
3️⃣ Routines lead to empowered parenting - YOU will feel confident in knowing you’re setting your child up for success 🙇♀️
4️⃣ Routines help with sleep, eating, behavior, and learning - these have all been proven in numerous research studies 👏
5️⃣ Routines decrease overall household stress - once established, they create LESS work for you, mama, and allow your household to flow without having to THINK about how each day should go. Less decisions about these things = more brain power for other things!
6️⃣ Routines cause children to feel safe - safety comes from the consistency and predictability of knowing how things tend to go... no surprises or sudden changes! 😝
