We want to be the best mothers for our children, yet we don’t always have the right support to do it.
We desperately want a break, yet we feel anxious being away.
We want understanding, but we don’t always want advice.
We want compassion, yet we don’t want to be pitied.
We want to be the happy mothers we always hoped we’d be, however we’re busy trying so hard to heal and manage our emotions.
We want to figure out how to manage it all because we think every other mother is able to do it, yet we come to the realization that no one has it all figured out.
We find ourselves wishing our kids would grow up quickly so things can get easier, yet we know we’re going to miss their littleness and the guilt rears its head again.
There’s no right way to do it, mama. And if you’re finding things difficult, it’s because motherhood can really be that hard. It’s not you.
