Kids Close in Age

Having kids so close in age is one of those “best things I’ve ever done” and “what was I thinking” type of deals.

F & M are 21 months apart.
M & A are 5 days short of being 12 months apart.

Some days are hard. Especially when all three are having a bad day. We see a lot of tears, hear a lot of screams, and I find myself telling them to not fight more often than I like. Those days I crawl into bed praying that God grants me a few extra minutes of sleep the next morning.

But, most days are like this — three sweet brothers getting along and loving on each other. There is still a lot of fighting on these days, but it’s the moments where they gather at the table without being promoted that makes my heart melt.

In a world where people label, judge, and disavow you for pretty much everything, I am so glad they have each other. It's true what they say, where you have a brother, there you have a friend.
