Covid 19 & Self Care

I know it can seem impossible to have any self care when we are all quarantined in the house...& it can be done with some planning! It’s important for you & your family.

Here are some tips: 
+ Self care is not about spa days. It’s about meeting your physical, emotional and spiritual needs.
+ Get up and get ready for the day.
+ Move your body. Exercise with your kids. Turn on a yoga video. Be ok if your kids are silly or climb on you. Make it fun.
+ Have a morning routine that includes a gratitudes and breathing, meditation or prayer.
+ Get your kids started on an activity and let them know you’re going to take a few minutes to read or drink a warm drink.
+ Have a routine. It helps kids feel safe and it actually gives you some breaks in the day.
+ Have your kids help you clean during the day. If you get them busy working, it breaks up the day. And it’s ok if they don’t like it.
+ Drink water during the day.
+ Call or FaceTime friends and family.
+ When the kids go to bed: Take time to do what you need. For example: take a bath, read, do your nails, connect with your partner, journal, write your gratitudes, call a friend.
Pay attention to what will fill your cup.
