Are you a New Paradigm Parent?

Re)Parenting is a practice of evaluating your intentions behind your actions. It’s not about achieving perfection or being the super parent that everyone “oohs” and “aahs” about because you can *do it all*
New paradigm parenting is an active movement of doing things differently than they’ve been done before. It’s about actively choosing not to put the responsibility of your own credibility as a parent in the hands of others.
No one sees the world like you do, no one learns like you do, no one understands like you do, no one interprets energy like you do. No one has the wisdom or the firsts that you have and it’s no one else’s responsibility but your own to embrace them in whatever form you choose.
New paradigm parenting is about being YOU. About setting an example for your children of what life can look like when you choose to show up as no one else but your imperfect flaw-filled self.
It takes work and effort and willingness and a whole lot of vulnerability. And it also takes courage to not be the most agreeable parent on the block.
It may not be the easiest job to go against habitual patterns, but it’s a whole lot better than raising kids to fit into an unconscious societal box.
There is so much that goes into being a new paradigm parent, but these were the first that came to mind today. Tell me in the comments, what would you add?
